Behold, The Little
Baby
Behold
the little Baby, Behold, the virgin mild,
Behold the shepherds kneeling before God’s only Child.
God’s very incarnation now sleeps upon the hay,
To Him be adoration, to Him be endless praise.
Behold
the little Baby, so small, so weak, so mild.
God’s Son, the King of Glory, a lowly virgin’s Child,
To all who come adoring, Kings, shepherds, peasants, too.
Will find God’s promise realized, His Word is ever true!
Behold
the little Baby, Behold the little Boy
Brings light to all in darkness, to all eternal joy.
Behold the Child, so glorious, in swaddling clothes arrayed
Behold the Savior lowly, who in a manger lays.
Redeemer,
Lord, we praise You! To You our hearts we give.
You gave Your Child so tender, You gave that we might live.
Now as we come to worship in manger, oh, so bare
May we find grace to still us and love beyond compare.
